I have a Zyxel ADSL router which happily assigns IP addresses to my XP machines from its onboard DHCP server. A newly acquired Vista desktop will not pick up an IP address from DHCP. If I give it a fixed IP address it works fine. A visitor’s Vista laptop had the same problem. I have searched the web and asked various IT pros to no avail.
Assistance would be very welcome.
