vLANs on Cisco 3845 with etherswitch

by jmg . Updated 19 years, 10 months ago

I am trying to config vLANs on a 3845 Cisco router. I have a 48 port switch service module in port B. I can set the vLANs up on the switch but can not figure out how to truck the vlans to the router using the internal gigabit link. The ports on vlan1 are visible on the router. I have tried setting subinterfaces on the router for the switch with an ip address. I have tried with VTP and can get the router to load the vlan data from the switch and still no connectivity. I am currently in vtp transparent. The documentation all seems to be for seperate routeres and switches.
