VMware Traffic Routing

By joshua.foley ·
Hello All,

Here is my scenario, I am running VMware Server 2.0 on a host machine that is Windows Vista. The guest OS is Windows 7.

My host machine has 2 network adapters configured. Wired and Wireless.

How can I route TCP/IP traffic on the host machine to a specific network adapter (wireless) and the vitual machine (guest) to a different network adapter (wired).

Both connections have internet access.

your bottle neck is still going to be your ISP.

I have an XP host with an XP guest and Ubuntu guest... When the XP guest is running my torrents (open source), my Ubuntu guest (web server/ proxy) and all running at the same time, along with streaming video to my Media Center... I can surf the net just fine, on the host OS (all through one NIC. Yes, I do get bored at night... to say the least)

Take a look at this thread, looks a little like what your looking to do. http://episteme.arstechnica.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/833003030931/m/984006094931
