I configured my windows 2003 server for VPN. I want to restrict some users for accessing some network shares.
The restrictions i applied work fine if the users are connected to the server over the LAN. But when they access the server over WAN by using VPN, they have access to everything. Any Ideas???

If the users are are properly resticted through LAN and not WAN you may want to remove the user and add them again. Try things like do not add them to a group, test a batch file and see if it runs when connecting through the VPN like when they logon to the LAN.

I would highly advise an off box VPN solution like a sonicwall if these users are mobile and connecting from different DHCP IP addresses.
