I recently installed a Cicso VPN client on my laptop to access a univerity’s network via a wireless connection. Since then, nothing will upload from my DSL connection in my office. The DSL provider think the VPN client is grabbing the outbound data and trying to direct it to the university network. I have stopped the VPN client, but that makes no difference. Is there some setting that is causing this? I have seen some mention about “transparent tunneling” in other discussions; is that involved?
