By chrisxs5 ·
I know their is alot of questions on VPN setup, but cant seam to get things working. So here it goes again.

I cant get things configured correctly.

Current Setup:
Windows 2000 Server
Broadband Connection with IP
Domain on network
Installed and Configured Remote
Installed and Configured Terminal Services
Netopia Cayman 3554 Router with no VPN featured installed, IP passthrough is enabled.
Active Directory setup

I know the IP I try is correct I checked an online connect site install file(if that makes since). I have checked the user profiles over and over. I just cant seam to get connected. Help?

To connect to a windows 2000 server vpn the user has to have dail-in access checked on the user properties in active directory users and computers.

Also the router would need to have port forwarded the ports your vpn is using.

If your using PPTP then forward ports 43 and 1723 to the servers internal ip address

The users dial-in is checked. The router I am not sure about. It has an ip passthrough enable but nothing avaible to adjust ports.
