VPN Connected but can't see server/drives

By jc ·
I have a VPN up and running and can connect to the Windows 2000 server with both a MAC and PC. However, I cannot see the server or the drives on the server. Can someone lend a hand?

Can connect to the Windows 2000... so it works then!

Can't see, well perhaps you need a WINS server or other netbios / hosts / windows file and printer sharing items?

normally RRAS is configured with a pool of addresses in DHCP relay agent so that the user connecting via VPN gets a LAN address. That's so they are on the same subnet. There isn't any GUI for VPN unless you use RWW or Remote Desktop or something like VNC or go to my PC.

you would have to use the \\server name \folder name or \C$ or \shared folder name to connect.
