Have set up my small office network using a Linksys BEFSR81 router to share a DSL line
and act as VPN server. With support from Linksys
I configured port forwarding, etc and can ping the WAN IP (I use static IP’s)from outside (DSL at home) just fine. I’m trying to use the W2K Pro VPN client to connect and have set it to connect to this WAN IP but I get an error 678 “There was no answer” What is supposed to be answering, the VPN server or the machine behind it? At this point I’m not sure if the router is still not configured right or the client or what. Anyone with direct experience here?
