My server will let me connect local to the network using a VPN connection, however when the Server is not in the DMZ it will not let me connect remotely. Tried the connection on several clients. Once you move the server in the DMZ on the router it appears to be working fine. However I do not want my server setting in the DMZ since there are so many vulnerabilities out there that I am not aware of. I have set all the VPN ports on the the router, so I think, and enable VPN pass through for all three VPN protocols.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get around this flaw in the linksys router? Already spoke to the folks at linksys and couldn?t get it escalated.
