VPN takes over internet connection

by pepijn.niemeijer . Updated 16 years, 2 months ago

Hello People,

I am connected to my office via a windows VPN connection. My internet access at home is via a wireless router and a fast broadband connection (cable 4mb down. When i browse the web (internet explorer 6) with my VPN disconnected i get my high speed broadband, as soon as i connect my VPN it drops in speed. I presume with the VPN connected my connection to the web goes through the server i connect my VPN to. (the IP address changes aswell (get myip.com)) Is there a way to keep my fast broadband instead of dropping to the slow VPN speed?? Cheers Pep
