W2k and sbs2003 time difference

By Leon du P. ·
I have a Win2K Pro workstation which when I try to log on to my domain, replies with an error which says, Cannot log you on... There is a time difference between the client and tha server.

Now I used the 'net time /domain:name /set' command but when I execute it it replies 'error 5, access denied'.

How can I overcome this problem?

Hello...

This appears to be an authentication problem. Contact the Administrator of the server for assistance.

Sounds to me like the RPC secure channel has dropped from the domain. Definetely time for the network admin to use NETDOM to restablish it.
