I’m learning my way through WDS/Vista.
I’ve been able to create an image, capture it & deploy it.
Now that i have a couple of different model machines, i’m wanting to set up the unattended installation properly.
I have just had a wdsclientunattend.xml (and configured to use in the server properties Client tab) file and a separate ImageUnattend.xml for the actual image.
My wdsclientunattend.xml file was pointing to which image to deploy, and also settings for the disk/partitions. And it was working OK.
Now i have at least 2 different machines, which use different disk sizes.
How much info do i need to put in the wdsclientunattend.xml file?
Do i use the wdsclientunattend.xml file to provide values for multicasting?
I’m having trouble booting clients up into a multicast environment, but i was going to ask a separate question for that…
