I like to know, how I can start deleting all my post,as I have been using OE.The option to delete message is not available. Tried google, but it has been pending forthe pass 3 weeks.

Your understanding is most grateful.

Thank you in advance.

In order to delete your postings on most web sites, you will need to contact the moderator, site manager or content manager.

You will need to do this for each site that you have made postings to.

On sites where you enter a user profile, you will need to edit the profile to hide your identity.

For Tech Republic, click on the Help link, and follow the links to contact Tech Republic.

Part 1

Hi

I do not wish to sound as if I am an alarmist, but you are very near to becoming a victim of either identity theft, if not by this stalker, by someone that takes advantage of the information on you he is giving out. Every piece of personal information this person gathers on you brings them one step closer to taking your identity, or selling/giving it to someone else. You may even be a victim of a hacker that has outside access to your computer. We, at our shop, had a woman bringher system in because she was being stalked on the internet. The stalker was from Australia and the FEDS learned his identity. Yes, this case was turned over to the FEDS and they tracked him down, for he was threatening her life and her children. Heis, of course outside of their jurisdiction and nothing could be done to him, nor had he actually followed through with any of his threats. (duh!) This man knew her address, her childrens' names and ages. Scary stuff! This woman changed her ISP, several times, her usernames and passwords, yet he would find her again. How? He KNEW her NIC's MAC address! No matter what she did to disguise herself, on the internet, he always found her by her MAC address. This guy was using a worm to send information back to himself.
These are the steps she took to go cyber underground:
1. Closed all of her online banking accounts and opened new accounts with other financial groups.
2. Quit all newsgroups, chat sites, ect.
3. Dilligently ran spyware checkers and anti virus software, always with the most current defs.
4. After we secured her system, explained later, she got a new ISP using a different name and billing address.
5. Changed her phone number using a different name and billing address.

Part 2

Here is what we did to secure her system:
1. The NIC HAD to go! We not only pulled it, this NIC was NEVER used in another system.
2. Installed a new hard drive. This was her request, even though we could have done a US Government level format ( 3 passes of writing 1's and 0's over the entire hard drive ).
3. Installed a new OS (NTFS) and used a different name for the user, if I remember correctly, first name only.
4. Installed Zone Alarm. At the time, the ONLY software firewall that would block outgoing traffic.
5. Installed a spyware detector.
6. Installed an anti virus program that is highly rated for detection and removal.
7. Set her up with a NAT router.
8. Shut down every service that was not crucial to her using hersystem.
9. Disabled the BIOS settings for remote start. She shuts her computer down every night now.

Was this all "overkill"? Maybe, in your case, not in her case. Still, I would take every precaution that is feasible for you take. There is little doubt, from what you say, that you are being cyber stalked. I can not give you reasons as to why or for what intent, but you are being stalked. I doubt this person is as sophisticated as the stalker the woman faced, but this person is gaining yourpersonal information, to be used as they see fit.

For what it is worth.
