What folder are cookies in?

By Timmyd ·
I use IE 5.5 with NT 4.0, and have noticed that cookies are being stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder instead of the Cookies folder. Anyone know why this is? Aslo, when I go to Internet Options in IE and select Delete Files in the Temporary Internet Files section, not all files are deleted. Any ideas on why that is?

Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools => Internet options => Settings => View Files. After you click on View Files new window will open with lot of files listed. Click on Edit => Select all, press delete on keyboard and this will delete all files. Hope this helps.

re - cookies

by joemaldonado3 In reply to Some Help

normally the cookies can be had by typing " cookies " in the find files command... but, alas, on some system layups this is an admini-code lockout (arrrggggghhhh!!!!!!) [to bust you if you been naughty!]

Need some automated help ?

If you don't want to ask questions and just want to recover the space on your drive, Try Complete Cleanup (Trial ed.). I'm running NT4/IE6 and have had no problems. $29.95 for the fullup ed. at www.softdd.com. Gets rid of cookies, cache, garbage, temps, ActiveX and other files. Trial ed. has the same functions but with a beg screen.
