Post Office Protocal version 3.

if u are using email services other than web-based email service such as hotmail and yahoo, you are probably using ur ISP's mail server. tat's the protocol for your email.another word, it is ur address

it also means point of presence (ver.3) a standard used to access email. the better email client software can get email for you without actually logging in [using an mapi or imapi protocol] (e.g. trillian). in setting up the pop3 sniffer you put inthe url, than the username and the password; also the port or slot no. if needed. then the service retrieves the mail in text form, and can be read thus. my unit can read 8 email accounts at once. hope this helps, joe
