I never had any trouble with my HP Scanjet 3200c or my PC freezing up for a perion of time and releasing for a period of time until after I went on-line for the first time and it has been doing that ever since then, so I uninstalled the software. Everything was fine after that. This also occured when I am in my word processor ..with software installed. The only thing I can think of is there has got to be a conflict with Internet Explorer and my Scanjet software..possible the drivers. Calling HP Suppport was a waste of time as my Scanjet is out of warranty and they want to charge me $25 to talk to tech suport with no guaranteed results. You can imagine what my answer to that was. I am at a loss as to what to do. If it is Internet Explorer alone what can I do do get all software/drivers, etc. references to it completely removed from at least my one PC so my scanner will available all the time.
