What protocol i can setup with my router......?

What protocol i can setup with my router
.....can it be static routing, bgp, rip rip2, igrp, eigrp.............which should i take or it can be anyone...?
pls brife me abt each one with different internet connection.

Last I checked... Protocol thought your router was ugly so I wouldn't bother trying to setup your router with it.

They aren't just different flavors, they are different for different purposes. For your average internet connection, the router will need to operate with the protocol required by your ISP.

Whether you are running a large network, or an internet backbone router, you should probably read up on this stuff quickly. No brief answer here is going to help. For the basics, search Wikipedia. A general internet search will get you loads of info.

Well if you do not tell us the Make & Model of the Router we just do not know do we?

If you want to know what your actual Router supports you need to RTFM which comes as a PDF File on the Disc with the Router with just about every Domestic Router that I have seen recently or is available from the Makers Web Site as a Download PDF.
