Try re-installing network drivers

by saurabh_2507 In reply to when i try to access a co ...

First of all remove & re-install network card drivers. If card is in a slot, change the slot . Please check for any virus or other unwanted programs. See if other computers are showing up properly to each other.

\\computer name or \\ip address?

by CG IT In reply to when i try to access a co ...

if computer name doesn't work then either netbios over TCP/IP is disabled or WINS isn't running which will resolve name to addressing [or DNS for that matter].

so try using the host address eg

\\[host ip address]\[share name]
