I’m the Help Desk Manager of a medium business (4000 network devices) and we have recently purchased and installed Centennial’s asset tracking software called Discovery.
Now that the project is well on it’s way upper IT management wants to know where the application should live. Which part of IT (Help Desk, Network Administration, Desktop Support, or Development) should own and support the application as well as maintain the database and work with all new network devices.
So, where should asset tracking live?
