Win 2003 - Unable to Browse but can ping URLs

By anoobve ·
I am running a Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition SP 2. We host an ERP server in this machine. After one or two days of service, we are not able to access internet in this machine through any browser. But if I ping any URL the IP is resolved and I am getting reply. I am able to log on to the machine with RDC. I tried lot of things, but only a restart helps. After a restart system works normally for another day or two before having the same issue again.

I hope you can help me

Is IIS still running or did it crash? Look in "Services" to see its current state.

IIS running

by anoobve In reply to IIS?

IIS is running. I can access the application web site from internet(Some features of the site doestnt work properly). But when I try to access the site from the local machine(server)using 'localhost' or the IP address, I cant access at all.

Earlier I said I can ping the web site when this problem occurs. But that's not the case now. When I ping a URL, the IP is resolved, but there's no reply.
