speaks of a clean desktop in XP, but doesn’t tell how. I maintain no visible icons on my W2K desktop via active desktop and hide icons options. I don’t like all that clutter on my screen. I use the taskbar and the MS Office toolbar for frequently used programs, much less intrusive. I have been told some icons are necessary for program maintenance (Outlook).
