I reinstalled a fesh copy of Window 98 on a Compaq Persario 2266. It runs fine, but when I select shutdown, it reboots instead. I can change the power setting in the BIOS, but every option results in the same with the exception of disablilng the PowerManagement. When I do this, I get the screen “It is now safe to turn off your computer”. I want it to shut completly down without having to hold the power button for 5 secs. Any suggestions?
