Win2003/RRAS/LAN Routing

by dale_smith . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

I am building an AD3 lab at home. I have DNS, DHCP, and RRAS built. I have a routing issue to resolve before going hot on AD3. I have a multi-homed server. 172.22.146.0/16 for the AD3 side of the server. 192.168.1.0/24 for the non AD3 side. RRAS with LAN routing configured. I have fussed with static routes (which seems unnecessary) and have had no joy. From a DHCP host on the 172 segment I can ping both the 172.22.146.254 address on the server AND the 192.168.1.252 address. The pain is I can NOT ping the 192.168.1.1 address for the 3Com router from the DHCP host. However I can ping the router from the server. This tells me my routing is wrong in the server. I tried the route of last resort – again, no joy.
I am certain I am just tired and missing the obvious but productive suggestions are welcome.
Regards,
Dale
