I know a similar question has been posted earlier, however, I would like to open this question up again and see if there is any “new” information on the following problem. This problem is pretty widespread across a school campus on Win2k machines and very intermittent. When you try to access a floppy you get the error: disk is not formatted. Would you like to format now. These are 2yr old to brand new machines with virus programs up to date. Example: we re-did a lab that previously was running Win98 last year (no floppy problems) Installed Win2k (no upgrade) and we now have intermittent floppy problems. I haven’t found anything in MS KB.
