Well as I suppose that you have checked the second Tape

For function and have done the obvious and actually looked at it to see if it is broken I’m would try another tape after cleaning the Heads in the drive.

HP Taps and some of the OEM Makers Tapes did have a problem a while ago with not working in some HP Drives.

        Second tape

I have already try cleaning heads in the drive several times. Now for tapes issue that isn’t the problem neither. I started getting this error last week one of my backup. The chances of all my weekly tapes being no good are impossible.

Normally I would agree but with a sub 19 minute

Write to 1 Tape and the other not being correctly recognized it does tend to point to a problem there.
