Window XP S3 can not detect Ethernet controller?

By sanwardak ·
Hello everyone
I have installed XP s3 on my HP CAC 50002NQ desktop it is P4, but there is no internet connection at all. When I make it dual boot with window 7 I can connect to internet, but not from XP. I have seen this problem in my friend's HP computer too. I think it make problem with HP desktops. My Network Adapter is Broadcome NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet, Which work fine with window 7 on the same Pc. Can someone help me where can I get update driver for this if I need it?
Thanks

You need the XP Drivers

by OH Smeg In reply to Window XP S3 can not dete ...

If you open the Device Manager in XP you'll see a Yellow Triangle with a Black Exclamation Mark through it telling you that the driver for that Hardware is not installed.

To get to the Device Manager in XP left click on Start, right click on My Computer and from the drop down Menu Left Click on Proprieties. Then Left Click on the Hardware Tab and then when the window opens left click on Device Manager.

You can get the driver for this device from HP or Broadcom but you will need the correct Model Number to get it at HP. You can however start your search here
