Windows 10 route LAN through VPN

By Abhut ·
I have a Windows 10 PC that has two NICs, one is connected to an internet router (nic 1, 172.16.147.20) and the other to the LAN (nic 2, 192.168.137.1). Now I run a (OpenVPN) VPN client that connects to the internet and when connected routes all traffic through the VPN (adapter ip 10.13.46.107). I enabled IP Routing (through registry "IPEnableRouter" and enabled the routing service) and can ping nic 2 from other PCs on the lan.

Now I want to be able to access the internet through the VPN adapter from other PCs on the lan. I'm not sure what I'm missing, I thought OpenVPN handles NAT so it should work?

Here's my routing table of that Windows 10 PC when connected to the VPN:

Split tunnel

What you are looking for is a feature called "Split tunnel". It allows or disallows specific traffic, including internet traffic, to pass through the tunnel.

I'm not sure if OpenVPN supports this, but that is the feature you are looking for.
