In your 5/20/3 Windows 2000 Tips nesletter you speak of editing the registry to change the screensaver, that may work, but is not necessary. The screensaver can be changed just like any other version of Windows, from th edesktop, by right clicking and selecting properties and then selecting the screensaver tab. I have created my own SS and am using it, in lieu of any provided ones, and have set the interval and which SS to use from this location w/o any direct editing of the registry. I can’t understand why anyone would advocate editing the registry when it is not necessary. I have not done myself in whenever I have edited it, but every time it is suggested a warning is always given.
So don’t suggest something that is not necessary, that could have serious consequences.
