Windows 2003 Server Client Access License

By mhoukarawa ·
I would like to install 5 servers with Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, with 1 as the main DNS server, controlling the Active Directory, while the rest of the servers are configured as member servers. I purchased 80 user CALs for this Win 2003 srv software. Can I use this same software to install on the other member servers without purchasing separate 80 user CALs for each member server?

User Cals

You will only need the CALs for the 80 users and not licenses for each server.

Set each server to PER USER licensing.

I have a question along similar lines, I have 40 users (employees in the company) but there are about 50 user accounts (accounts for automation, domain admin accounts, etc.). Do I need CALs for all 50 accounts or just for the physical users (40).

Thanks!
