Windows 2003 Standard Edition Server and NFS

by mjsouleman . Updated 17 years ago

I would like to configure NFS on a Windows 2003 Standard Edition Server x32.

Problem:
Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add and Remove programs | Add/Remove Windows Components |
Other Network File and Print Services
I do not find
Microsoft Services for NFS.

Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition Server x32
does have this entry and I have configured NFS.

Why do I want to configure NFS?

I am implement mail-box level backups using Symantec’s netBackup and the new Granular technology.

Summary;
So the questions are:
Is NFS available in the Standard Edition?
If yes, then can the NFS option be hidden?
If no, the nI am done.
