I am trying to install Kaspersky KAV antivirus on my Windows 2008 Standard edition, and receiving BSOD (blue screen) STOP error message 0x0000024 (and then in brackets 4 different parameters of course).
I have installed the same version I installed on my windows 2003 server (that should work on 2008) – “Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 For Windows Servers Build 6.0.2.690 MP2 CF1” and it caused a Blue screen with STOP error 0x0000024. My only option was to format and reinstall the server (in safe mode I disabled KAV service and startup and even deleted the folder, nothing helped. I found microsoft have a hotfix for some of 0x0000024 problem, but you can’t run hotfix in safe mode, and I couldn’t login in normal mode so it was useless…).
I downloaded from Kaspersky their newest version for windows 2008 – “Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 For Windows Servers Build 6.0.3.837 MP3 CF1”
and it gave the exact same error message.
Can anyone help ?
