WINDOWS 95 corruption?

By Murray_G ·
When I reboot my PC, since about 8-1-00, all my Win95, MSOffice,MSIE5.0,Outlook express 5, Sound, screen saver and more settings revert to a New profile type settings. I recently saved my registry and re-imported it after rebooting which gave me my DUN settings, MSIE5 and OE5 but not MSOffice. Can anyone explain this phenomenon , why do I loose my registry? Is there a "save settings" switch that should be on and may have been set to off when IE5.0 was installed?

It sounds like user profiles may have been turned on. Chances are, your correct registry settings are in the windows\profiles\(username). I recently had a laptop with similar problems
