Ok, here it is…
We have a windows 2003 server and our client PCs run either XP or windows 98. All software is stored on the server and each client has a tailored Start Menu and Desktop displayed when they login. Everything was working fine, until I decided to create new user accounts.
The XP PCs are fine, but on the 98 PCs if you login as a new user, the specific desktop and start menu icons dont appear as they should do. Only the icons of programs installed locally actually appear, none of the icons from programs on the network are displayed! If you login with an old user account, everythings as it should be. So it seems that the connection to the network is fine… so i dont know what the problem is!! (btw, when i created the new users i just made copies of the old users and changed the names so all the settings for all user accounts are the same!)
Please please pleeeeeeeease help me… Im goin mad!!!
