I had to reformat my harddrive and reinstall windows 98. My problem is that I’m able to get windows installed, then I goto system file checker and run it. When it is finished it request a restsrt. the pc reboots goes thru post ok then I get blank screen not even a cursor or prompt. I tried to boot to safemode but it will not doit.All I get is this error. “An exception oe has occurred at 0028:00000015 in VxD—. This was called from 0028:c183A in VxD—.” And I also get this one, “An exception 06 occurred at 0028:000000B in VxD—. This was called from 0028:C183A7D8 in VxD—.” Help Please I am totally stump the pc seems to pass all post. Thankyou Frank
