Windows Explorer error

by gmills . Updated 23 years, 10 months ago

I provide desktop support for an organization that runs windows NTsp6. I have a large number of desktops that get the following error when the user logs in…“There was an internal error and one of the windows you were using has been closed. It is recommended that you save your work and close all programs, and then restart your computer.” The users are able to click on the OK button and continue with no problems, however, I need to get resolve the problem and stop the error message. I have checked the event viewer and whatever is causing the error message does not generate an event. Are there any suggestions on how to find out the cause of the message? Additional software on the machines: Groupwise, Office ’97 suite, and some design programs.
