Windows Memory

By kashmeir63 ·
I have a windows 2003 std. ed. server with 8 gigs of memory. When I goto system properties it is only showing 4 gig. I did add the /PAE switch in the boot.ini file.
I'am running sql 2000 with is dynamically allocating 4 gig. I would like to show all 8 gig in the windows system properties. Is it because of sql allocation? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You in advance.

You need Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition as the standard version only supports up to 4GB of RAM.
