windows network share

i have a tcp/ip bases netwrk and i have a look at some files on the share at times.I get this message on the computer which i am puliing the files from when the user shuts down that one user active or one file or 2 files open. i do not want that message is there a way around this anything in the registry can be done.

i do not know of any registry entry. have you thought of using the windows 2000 tool called kill.exe in a batch file before you shutdown. on the cd in the Support\Tools folder

no i have'nt use the kill.exe tool. and i do not have windows 2000 cd. is there another way to go about.
