Windows Networking with VPN Tunnels

By cw9720 ·
I am trying to access a windows box across a VPN Tunnel. My architecture is as follows: I have two end points creating a tunnel connecting the discontinuous networks. My primary network has a public IP Range, example 210.22.10.50 for the server IP. I am trying to contact a windows server on the opposite side of the tunnel in a private space, 10.1.1.x. I have created a static persistent route to route all 10.1.x.x traffic to the sub-interface of the VPN concentrator or end point as the gateway. However, I'm not able to contact it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve this architecture to give me connectivity to the remote network devices. When I ping, my router drops it because it's unrouted. I can do this all day long with Linux, but the same -P routes don't work for windows. Why???
