Windows NT DHCP Service not starting

by kevin7frg . Updated 16 years, 11 months ago

I have a Windows NT Server for a PDC. It crashed last weekend and when I rebooted it the DHCP Client service did not start. When rebooting, it ran check disk because it said the hard drive might be corrupt. Now every time I try to start the DHCP Client service it gives me this error…….Could not start the DHCP Client service on (Computer name)
Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occurred. Am I just spinning my wheels trying to correct this??
