Windows NT DHCP Service not starting

By kevin7frg ·
I have a Windows NT Server for a PDC. It crashed last weekend and when I rebooted it the DHCP Client service did not start. When rebooting, it ran check disk because it said the hard drive might be corrupt. Now every time I try to start the DHCP Client service it gives me this error.......Could not start the DHCP Client service on (Computer name)
Error 2140: An internal Windows NT error occurred. Am I just spinning my wheels trying to correct this??

If this were a car, the scenario would be: it's got a blown head gasket and it's spraying oil and coolant all over the road, why is the engine misfiring? :) :)

If the file system is corrupt, all bets are off.
