Windows or Linux

I am working in a public organization, which has 1 server and 100 clients computer. We are using ADSL for internet connection. I am requesting to submit a paperwork on "using windows or Linux as OS for our system". Please send me some advices. Thankyou

Sorry, this is far too vague.

First, you need to make a list -- "These are the things we want to do on the desktop". Then make a second list "These are the things (services) we expect the network (server) to provide"

Then, review the desktop against the capabilities of Windows & Linux, placing checkmarks as appropriate. You now know which OS you want there. Check the pricing -- this may cause a revision of the list.

Now, take your server list. Review your needs against the capabilities of Windows, Linux, and NetWare. (Scratch windows from the list if you chose Linux on the desk top; no good connection path there). Check pricing, confirm nubmer of servers needed and hardware required for them. Add it up.

Add in $$ for service and support as required.
