Windows Printing

by cburress . Updated 19 years, 4 months ago

I am having a windows printing issue. A few end users have called and said they could not print. This is the error they receive:

Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup. Try one or more of the following:
*Check the printer by printing test page from windows.
*Make sure the printer is turned on and online.
*Reinstall the print driver.

Also when they go into printers and faxes, the printers show access denied or unable to connect.

None of the users passwords are expired. they can also access network drives. I went to the print server and it looked fine, event viewer, etc. I could send a test page. As a few minutes passed, I keep refreshing the printers and faxes windows on the pcs and all the sudden they are connected again and can print. It seems that it is a random thing and not a certain subnet. I have 3 other sites, and they do not have this problem. I am just wondering if anyone has heard of a problem like this or can help.

Thanks
