Windows Share Point Services 3 Problem

By admin ·
I have a small network of about 20 computers. I've installed WOSS 3 in a Win2K3 Server because we want to use the calendar feature so that all users in the network can view events in the calendar (I would like also some users to have the capability to add/edit/delete events). We use Outlook 2003/2007 WITHOUT Exchange. The calendar is the only feature that I am interested in using however it would be nice if we also could use the other features like the team collaboration, wikis and blogs. I installed WOSS with out any errors or problems....however when myself or a user tries to access the share point by entering the servers name in the address bar in internet explorer (http://myserver) We get get the HTTP 400 Bad Request page. If I try to access the Central Administration page by entering the server name plus the port I have no problems, I can access that page and see all the information in it.

I would need help to get Share Point to be accessible to all users as of now like I said they get the HTTP 400 page.

I noticed that the even viewer shows error event id 2424 and warning event id 2436, (not sure if that is related to the issue I am having) I've researched this error and it points me to article which has not helped.

Can you guys help me troubleshoot so that the calendar feature of Share Point is accessible by all users?? The whole point of installing Share Point was so that all my users can share the calendar and add events.
