The setup:
A network of 3 computers running Windows 3.1, 95, and 98SE. The NOS is various versions of Artisoft Lantastic.
A Windows XP Home computer was recently added to the network. From previous question asked, I still cannot get the XP and the 98SE computers to properley talk to each other using Windows Networking.
Also recently added, ADSL modem and hi-speed connection to the Internet. Originally setup through the XP machine, which immediately slowed down to the speed of granite.
Installed the ADSL connection through the network hub and set up the 98SE machine to access the Internet. All worked OK for a while.
Now, whenever the XP machine is on the network, the 98SE machine Internet access is also not working.
I have tried removing the networking components form the XP nmachine so NETBEUI or Filew and printer sharing would not interfere, but without improvement.
As soon as I remove the XP machine from the network, the 98SE machine performs internet functions well.
Any suggestions?
