Dear All,
I am having a problem with Windows XP Media Centre 2005. The problem is that when I connect the modem cable to the laptop, I only sending packets without receiving. Also the IP address I get is 169.254.207.207, which is not a correct IP address to connect to the internet, and so I am guessing that something is blocking the laptop from getting the correct IP. Can you guys tell me what is wrong, and if I have to download something additionaly from the internet so that I can get my laptop to work. Having said that, I can connect to a wireless connection without any problem.
