WinXP Home <->Pro Network One Way Only,,,??

By casey5691 ·
Sorry to bother you all.

I have been trying to setup a small two pc network for a small home business. I am a retired/disabled telecom professional.

DSL Connection through 5 port wired gigabit switch / dsl modem-router

Both PCs access net fine.

WinXP Home can 'see' the Pro machine and access everything.

Have run Network Setup Wizard countless times from both directions.

Tried firewall on/off no change.

WinXP Pro machine shows Home box at workgroup level only

Trying to select Home box at worgroup level results in: \\HomeBox is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the admin..bla bla bla

NOTE: CtlPnl/UserAccts 'Manage my network passwords' is blank/empty with no 'Add' button on Home Box..Pro Box fine.

Have also tried MMC

This is very frustrating and I've searched forums / google looking for help and can't find it....Please Help!!

Home Box CtlPnl\Netwrk Connections under Incoming Connections \ Properties shows only Direct Connect via LPT1 as TCP/IP shown...VPN Tunneling enabled but event log shows lack of certification for L2TP over IPSec.

Installed Windows Server 2003 Root Tool Kit and enable guest change

I'm out of ideas..I would very much appreciate some feedback..

Thanks in advance.........

Best Regards,
