I just bought a new laptop. It connects fine to secure networks that I program in but will not connect to open access networks. No I’m not poaching. These are legitamate access points that are open and unsecure, usually at friends’ houses and the SSIDs are broadcast. When I click on connect to, it always tells me it is unsuccessful.
