Thanks in advance for any help. I am trying to help my wife. She has a laptop she uses at home for her school work. I can get her computer to connect to our wireless router. If we plug in the ethernet it will open up IE immediatley and has very good speed etc. If we unplug the ethernet, it will not open any page via IE, AOL, whatever. If I go to network and sharing on her computer (she has Vista) it shows a good connection but says Access: local only. I have ran all the tests, reset the router, I have done all I can. My laptop works wirelessly fine. Can you help me determine the problem. Right now if I click on our networks it says wireless and local, but the access: reads Local only. Please help, she is getting tired of being imobilized by nthis silly little problem.
