wireless lan

sir, there is red cross in my wireless lan connection.That is it is not enabled.What can i do to remove red cross from wlan.

The red cross does not mean that the lan card is disabled,it means that you have no wireless connection.You can verify this by right clicking on the wireless lan and open network connections.If your lan was disabled it would not appear on the taskbar.Ifit is in decvice manager your looking,right click on it and enable

i thing u r ur system is not asociated with any wireless network. Check the SSID in ur machine that should be same in accesspoint ssid.

sir,my laptop is DELL INSPIRON 1300,which supports WLAN.The pc has win xp,and working properly.Then please tell me how can i enable WLAN in my pc.please give me the procedures from starting,like add wlan hardware & install driver etc.i dont know which wlan adapter i have.Please help me sir........wt thanks JIM

right click on my computer and select properties.Then select device manager.Expand the network adapters and you will see you wlan card.Right click and enable
