Wireless network losing wired printers

By tvavra ·
I have a wireless network in my office that is replacing the old wired network. I am having trouble with the wireless pcs retaining the connection to the network printers. All of the network printers are running through the SBS2003 server. I do not have the same problem on any of the pcs that have remained wired into the network. The pcs have sp3 installed. I am open to any suggestions.

Reason?

Why would you want to replace a wired network with a wireless one anyway? Wireless can be a wonderful thing for cases of mobility and needing to be in and out of an office; but what benefit can you get from removing a wired network in an office setting? You are losing interoffice speed and security.

Reason

There are two reasons we moved to a wireless environment. First we were making a major build out of offices which would require mobility within the office area. Because of the growth we have seen over the two years, we wanted the flexibility to reconfigure the office quickly and efficiently. We also saved considerable dollars in installation. Finally, we are moving to a mobile workforce which allows the staff to move schedules around. I wanted to set up an environment where both staff and sales would be able to come in work and move about as necessary. This is part of a larger 5 year plan and for our company it makes sense.

Finally, we are also moving to handheld data collection in both the office and warehouse areas. This will give us seamless connections regardless of the person's location within the building.

That being said, do you have an idea why the connections are being lost?
