we have a problem in creating a wireless network to share internet between our two offices. we have two D-Link DSL-2640T routers have tried so many things and could not establish a connection between the two routers.
This is what we have already done –
One of the routers is configured as the primary router (Root) which is connected to the internet through ethernet cable and the other one is to be used as the secondary to share the internet. The primary router shows the secondary one as associated station but the secondary reouter is not showing the primary router in the associated stations list.
I have used the same ssid, channel – 6, WEP key, and entered the wireless mac address of the primary router in secondary routers configuration and vice-versa. The wireless mac id – i read in a post is the mac id given in the router plus one.
I am new to networking and breaking my head over this for the past three days. any help will be much appreciated. Hope to find light.
